Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous publications and many grants to her name and is the recipient of a variety of international and national prizes. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and research relating to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
